Method :**********Soak channa dhal for 1/2 an hour.Cook it in a cooker for 1 whistle and smash it with a smasher.Add jaggery with little water and boil it for 5 mints. Strain it to separate the dust.jaggery syrup is ready.In a heavy bottom pan boil jaggery syrup till it starts to boil and slightly thick.Add grated coconut, a pinch of cardamom and mix well. Now add channa dhal sufficient ghee and mix well till the mixture becomes non sticky form. |

Make small balls of dough.Coat the banana leaf with little ghee and spread the balls with hand to form poori shapes.Make small ball size poornam, keep the ball inside the dough and close it.Spread it again with hand to form poori shapes. |
