Ingredients :

Besan flour /
Kadalai Maavu -1 1/2 cup

Rice flour -2
tspn

Chilli powder -
1/2 spn
|
Ajwain / omam -1
tspn
|
Salt to taste
|
Asafoetida a
pinch
|
Curry leaves to
garnish
|
Oil needed

Method :
**********
- Boil ajwain seeds for 15 mints and drain the water.
- Mix besan flour, rice flour,chilli,powder,asafoetida and add ajwain seed water extract.
- Add salt to taste and mix well.
- Prepare the mix as like idiyappam dough consistency.
- Heat a pan with oil.
- Put the dough in the idiyappam press and press it in the oil as shown in the picture.
- Fry it to golden brown and take out, drain the excess oil.
- Crush it by hand and garnish with fried curry leaves.
- Crispy ,crunchy, healthy Oma podi is ready.
