Adai Dosa With Avial |
Ingredients:
Idli Rice - 2 cupChanna dal/Kadalai Paruppu - 1/2 cup
Yellow Moong dal/ Yellow gram dal- 1/4 cup
Urud dal/Ulundhu - 1/4 cup
Toor dal/Yellow split peas - 1/2 tbspn
Red chillies - 2 or chilli powder - 1 tbspn
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbspn
Asafoetida - 1/4
onions - 2-3 finely chopped
curry Leaves -little
Drumstick leaves - (optional)
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Gingelly Oil - needed
Method :
- Wash and soak the rice and dals for about 2-3 hours.
- Add the red chillies to the soaked ingredients.
- Grind it to a smooth batter along with red chillies.
- It should be in thick consistency.
- Add onions,salt,turmeric,grated coconut,Asafoetida and curry leaves.
- Mix the batter well.
- Heat the dosa tawa and pour a ladle of batter and make into a round shape.
- Make small holes on it using a spoon and spread oil into the holes.
- Close with lid and cook on low flame till it is crispy and golden brown in colour.
- Crispy Adai dosai is ready to eat.
- Serve hot with Avial.
