Spicy Carrot Rice Recipe |
Ingredients :

Basmati rice - 1 cup
Carrot -2 medium size grated
Green chilli- 1 small size
Sliced Onion - 1 nos
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - small piece
Bay leaf - 1 pcs
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Pepper powder - 1 /2 tspn
Garam masala - 1/2 tspn
Ghee - 2 tspn
Coriander leaves - few
Salt to taste
Method :

- Cook the rice in the rice cooker and keep aside.
- Heat a pan add 2 tspns of ghee saute with bay leaf,cloves,cinnamon.
- Add garam masala powder and saute well.
Add sliced onions,salt,green chilli, ginger garlic paste ,coriander leaves and saute them till it become golden brown.
- Add the grated carrot and saute until the raw smell goes away.
Add pepper powder, little salt and cook for sometime.
- Now add the cooked rice and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with raita.
