Vegetable pulao Recipe

Cut all the vegetables in small pieces.

Clean coriander and pudina leaves.


  • Heat a pan add 2 tspns of ghee,1 tspn of oil  saute with bay leaf,cinnamon,cloves and star anise.

  • Add garam masala powder and saute well.

  • Add sliced onion,salt,ginger garlic paste and saute it well.


  • Fry the onion to golden brown and add the tomatoes and saute well.

  • Add grinded green chilli paste and saute well.

  • Add pudina,coriander leaves and saute well.

  • Add all the vegetables to the pan, add little amount of  2nd coconut milk(thin milk) and cook it for 1 whistle or 5 minutes.

Add all the vegetables to the pan, add little amount of  2nd coconut milk(thin milk) and cook it for 1 whistle or 5 minutes.

Open the lid and add soaked rice to the mixture add,1st coconut milk(thick milk) required quantity of water (if needed)  and cook it in a rice cooker.

Veg pulao is ready ,serve with raita.

Ingredients :

Basmati rice -2 cups

Onion -2 nos

Tomato -3 nos

Green chillies - 3 pcs
 
Carrot -2 nos

Beans -100 gms

Potato -1 big size

Butter beans -100 gm

Soya beans -100 gm

Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup

Mint leaves - 1/2 cup

Ginger-Garlic paste -1 tspn

Coconut milk -3 cup (2 cup thick milk,1 cup thin milk)

Garam masala powder - 1 tspn

Cloves -2

Star anise -1

Cinnamon -1 piece

Bay leaf - 1 nos

Ghee - needed

Oil - needed

Salt to taste
 

Preparation :

Cut all the vegetables in small pieces.

Clean coriander and pudina leaves.

Grind grated coconut and prepare 1st milk(thick milk) and 2nd milk(thin milk).

Prepare green chilli paste by grinding green chillies.

Soak basmati rice for 10 minutes, drain it and keep aside.

Ingredients:


Idly Batter- 2 cups


Onion -sliced -1


Carrot -sliced or Minced -1


Green chillies -2


Mustard seeds -1/4 tspn


Urud Dhal -1/4 tspn


Coriander leaves -needed


Salt to taste


Gingelly oil -3 tspn


Method:

Heat the pan with 2 tspn of oil.


Add mustard seeds,urud dhal and saute with onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, salt and carrot.


Fry it till raw smell goes off.


Add the mixture to the Idly Batter and mix it well.


Heat paniayara kal with gingelly oil in a low flame.


Pour the Batter in paniayara kal and cook till the outer layers get golden brown.


Vegetable kulipaniayaram is ready.


Serve with onion chutney or tomato chutney.

 Ingredients:

Bread- 1 packet

Pudina leaves -1 cup

Coriander leaves -1/2 cup

Green chillies -2 nos

Lemon -1

Garlic pods -4

Grated coconut -4 tspn

Salt to taste

Egg -5

Pepper -1/4 tspn

Preparation of pudina paste:

Clean coriander and mint leaves.

Grind the coriander, mint, garlic, green chillies, small quantity of coconut and salt to fine paste.

Add lemon to taste.


Method:

  • Beat the egg with salt & pepper.
  • Heat the tawa and pour the egg as Omelette and put 4 pieces of  Bread on it and spread the grinded pudina paste to the Bread evenly.
  • Fold the 2 pieces to cover the other 2 pieces to form a Sandwich.
  • Toast it for sometimes.

Prepare mini idly

  • Heat a pan with little ghee and saute with mustard,urud dhal, asafoetida add the grinded paste and small idlys and mix well.                                          

    Keep in a low flame for few minutes and serve hot.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves

  • Coriander Idly fry is ready.

    Asafoetida -a pinch
    Ghee - 1tspn
    Oil needed
    Salt to taste

  • Prepare mini idly.
  • Heat the pan with little oil add coconut,coriander,green chilli,tamarind,little salt and fry for sometime.
  • Grind the above ingredients.
  • Heat a pan with little ghee and saute with mustard,urud dhal, asafoetida add the grinded paste and small idlys and mix well.
  • Keep in a low flame for few minutes and serve hot.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves

Potato -1 big size

Chicken fry masala - 2 tspn

Turmeric powder -1/4 tspn

Salt to taste

Coconut Oil -2 tspn


Method :

  • Wash and cut potatoes  in round thin slices.
  • Prepare a paste with chicken fry masala powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Rub the masala paste on both sides of the potatoes slices and marinate  for 1/2 an hour.
  • Heat non stick tawa with little oil in a low flame and roast it to golden brown and crispy.
  • Crispy potato  roast is ready.
  • Its a easy recipe.

Baby Potatoes -1/4 kg

Chilli powder- 1/2 tspn

Turmeric powder -1/4 tspn

Coriander powder -1/2 tspn

Garam masala Powder-1/4 tspn

Curry Masala powder -1/4 tspn

Salt to taste

Coconut oil -3 tspn


Method:

  • Select small sized Baby potatoes.
  • Peel off the potatoes.
  • Heat the pan with coconut oil.
  • Add potatoes with chilli, salt, Turmeric, Coriander, Garam masala and Curry Masala.
  • Roast the potatoes to golden brown.
  • Crispy potato fry is ready to serve.
  • Ideal for Rasam rice and Curd Rice.
