Banana ChoCoffee Mousse




Hi friends, 
The idea of mousse strike me when my friend "Vimala Lakshmi"Announced an event with 5 ingredient fix namely MILK/MILK PRODUCTS,SUGAR,NUTS(ANY KIND OF NUTS),FRUIT(ANY ONE KIND OF FRUIT),BUTTER.
 Mousse is a foamy, creamy, fluffy dish, French origin with ingredients like cream and fruit.


Banana ChoCoffee Mousse

  • Separate egg yolk and white.

  • Cream egg yolk and sugar well.
  • Melt 20gms butter and add chocolate and coffee powder. Mix well.

  • Fold into the egg yolk and sugar.

  • Add milk and mix well.

  • Beat egg white.

  • Fold in.

  • Add 1/2 tspn of crushed nuts and sliced banana.

  • Refrigerate for 1 hour.

  • Mix maida, icing sugar,1/2 tspn of nuts,10gms of butter and orange juice.

  • Mix well.

  • Spread out in a greased cup and bake in a preheated oven at 280 C for 10 mints.

  • Base is ready.

  • Now place the refrigerated mousse into the base.

  • You can decorate as you wish.

  • Serve immediately.

Ingredients :

Cocoa powder - 100 gms
Butter - 30 gms
Egg -2 nos
Sugar - 2 tbspn
Milk - 1 tspn
Coffee powder - 1 tspn (I used bru instant)
Crushed Nuts - 1 tspn (Cashew ,badam ,pista)
Banana - 1/2 piece
Orange juice - 10 ml
Maida flour - 1 tbspn
Icing sugar - 1 1/2 tspn


Preparation for the mousse :


  • Separate egg yolk and white.

  • Cream egg yolk and sugar well.

  • Melt 20gms butter and add chocolate and coffee powder. Mix well.

  • Fold into the egg yolk and sugar.

  • Add milk and mix well.

  • Beat egg white and fold in.

  • Add 1/2 tspn of crushed nuts and sliced banana.

Note : I tried two patterns, one with normal base with spread mousse and another molded base with decorated mousse. Serve immediately as the mousse will melt fast.
