Ingredients :

Left Over Rice / Steamed rice - 2cup
Tamarind water - 1/2
cup
Red chilli - 1 nos
Channa dhal -1 tspn
Peanuts roasted - 1
tspn
Curry leaves few
Jaggery powder - 1/2
tspn
Gingelly oil - 2
tspn
Mustard seeds - 1/4
tspn
Urud dhal - 1/4 tspn
For grinding :
**********
Red chilli - 1 nos
Channa dhal -1 tspn
Fenugreek - 1tspn
Asafoetida -
generous pinch
Coriander seeds -
1tspn
Method :
*******
- Heat a pan with little oil fry the items listed in the grinding and grind it to coarse form.
- Heat a pan with oil saute with mustard,urud,red chilli,peanuts,channa dhal and curry leaves.
- Now add tamarind water, turmeric powder,jaggery powder and salt and let it boil till the oil separates.
- Add rice and stir well.
- Finally add the grinded powder to the rice and mix well.
- Now the puliyodharai
is ready.
