Left Over Recipe - Chilli Idly / Kids Recipe / Spicy Chilli Idly

Converting left over idlis to different form depends on the ingredients we use. Normally idly best suited for conversion. We can make varieties and i tried many items and all taste good. I have tried and posted some of my favorite "Idly Idiyappa Upma " "Idly Manchurian" "Podi Idly"

  • Cut the left over idlis into cubes.

  • Deep fry to golden brown.

  • Saute mustard, urud, fennel seeds, green chillies and curry leaves.

  • Saute onion and add ginger garlic paste, saute well.

  • Add tomato and saute till it is mushy.

  • Add capsicum and saute well.

  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and soya sauce.

  • Add fried idlis and mix well in low flame for few mints.

  • Garnish with spring onions.

  • Yummy spicy tasty chilli idli is ready to serve.

  Ingredients :

    Left over idly - 1/2 cup
    Onion - 200 gms
    Tomato - 150 gms
    Capsicum - 1/2
    Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
    Green chilli - 2 nos
    Red chilli powder - 1  tspn
    Coriander powder - 1 tspn
    Spring onion to garnish
    Mustard,urud dhal - 1 tspn
    Fennel seeds - 1 tspn
    Curry leaves needed
    Oil needed
    Soya sauce - 1/2 tspn
    Salt to taste



Method :
